Changes to eight health-related laws mean more health practitioners can issue sick or injury certificates – a job previously only doctors have been considered qualified to do. Pharmacists are not covered by the changes, but they will be expected to take on new responsibilities in future. Miranda Cook reports
Pharmacists have been excluded from a list of health practitioners now legally allowed to authorise sick notes.
