Fighting pharmacists: The human cost

At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918, the big guns on the Western Front in Europe fell silent. The war which had raged over Europe and the Middle East was finally over. For soldiers lucky enough to survive the conflict, it was time to go home. Among the young men returning to New Zealand, were many who had worked as pharmacists or pharmacy assistants.
