The travelling pharmacist
Twenty-six-year-old Irish pharmacist Olivia Lyons came to New Zealand with the same idea as many young travellers: to explore the country in a van and get some part-time work to see out her working holiday visa. After being recruited by Ian McMichael and his team at Pharmacy 547 in Hamilton, however, Miss Lyons has found herself in a "proper" job, not to mention winning an award for the work she's doing. She was the Young Pharmacist of the Year 2017, for her impressive clinical pharmacy work improving pharmacy services to medical centre patients in Hamilton. Georgia Merton chats with her about pharmacy in New Zealand and the work she's been doing as a clinical pharmacist through Pharmacy 547
